Daddy/ Daughter Night...

Last week, for activity days, Makenna had a daddy/ daughter night.

When she came home, she was all smiles!! She thought it was the best night to be able to spend some fun "one on one" time with her dad.

So when they got there they did this relay race. The dads had to paint the daughters fingernails and then the daughters put a tie on the dads, then the dads put a bow in the daughters hair, and finally the daughters had to draw a picture of the dads favorite sport.

Then they had ice cream sundaes where the dad got it for the daughter and the daughter got it for the dad.

After that they all filled out these card for each other... this is what each of them wrote:

" Matt is dad of the Year because.... I think my dad is awesome because... he's smart, he's caring, he's fun & so much more!!! I love him so much he's the best dad in the world!!! I LOVE him."

"Makenna is daughter of the Year because... she is a great, loving daughter and is an awesome example for me. She is not afraid to stand up for what is right. She will always go out of her way to help others and be a friend to anyone."

After they wrote them out, they got up and read them to all the other dad and daughters. Makenna then, was asked to bear her testimony. Matt said that she did really good.

Then, they danced!!! This was the funnest part for Makenna. She said that there was a slow song on and they were dancing together and then Matt started doing the tango with her!!

Everyone started laughing and then all the dad's were "tango-ing" with their daughters.

As you can tell, they had such a fun time with each other! I am glad that they were able to spend that time together... just the two of them!

At the activity, they had someone take pics of all the dads with their daughters!
