Matt's Triathlon!!!
Saturday, Matt and I went to Burley Idaho for him to do a triathlon. If any of you are wondering if it is the same one that, that man died in, it is the same. If you have watched the news, a man died while doing the swimming portion. He was in a few groups after Matt, but they had anounced that a man had gone under and hadn't recovered the body. I had no idea when it happened they didn't say how old he was or anything, so I was freaking out and just standing by the bike finish, waiting for Matt to come through. It seemed like forever, but he finally came through. They ended up finding the man's body 30 minutes after he went under and had a dive team and everything there looking. It was scary. So on a better note, here are some pictures of Matt doing his stuff. He swam a mile, biked 25 miles, and then ran 6 miles. I am so proud of him. He did awesome. He finished the race in 2 hrs. 53 min. which I think is pretty good, especially since he really didn't train all that much, except for the running part!!! Good Job, Matt!! I Love You!! Here he is coming through the finish line of the bikes.
Starting his 6 mile run!
At the finish line, you can't see really good, but he is the one in front.
Afterwards, he was dead. He had to sit down for like 20 minutes.
I know the picture is sideways, but here he is with his "SPUDMAN" metal!!

Float Preview
Monday, I went with my sisters and their kids and our mom, to the float preview. It had all the floats that are going to be in the big 24th of July Parade. They have some really neat floats. They also had face painting, which the kids loved. Here are they bigger kids that had their face painted.
Makenna and Hannah with the "princesses" that sit on the floats.
Here are all the kids next to the JaZz Float!!! It was huge and fun!!!
Makenna, Lily and Hannah standing next to the Pirate float. In the front of the float it even had, a big octopus, everything on it was tied into the pirate movies. Makenna likes those movies, so she wanted a picture of that float.

GiRlS CaMp!!
I just got back from Girls Camp on Friday. It was so much fun. We played games, had service projects, did a skit and just hung out. Our theme was "Sweet is the work of Angels," so each ward had a candy representing a certain color. Our ward was orange and we picked Reeses Pieces. They had everyone do a cheer for roll call, and ours went like this: "Don't give me no Sweedish Fish, Don't give me no Hershey Kiss, Just give me those Reeses Pieces." It was fun, I came home feeling so gross and dirty and wanting to take a shower, but overall it was a great experience. We didn't really have any drama, that you usually have a girls camp. All the girls got along, and we had a really great testimony meeting. Our Young Women are great. I love each of them so much. Here are a few pictures of us at camp!! Me and Kelsie. She's trying to give me a piggy back. I think I weigh a little more than her.
Me, Kelsie, and Brianna. We played this game called "The Great Dal Moody" It is like scum for those who have played scum before, excpet you don't use face cards. They are actual Great Dal Moody cards, and you wear funny hats, the lower you are, the worse your hat was. I was president almost the entire game, so I was wearing the gold crown hat, and the lowest person (like scum) had to wear a chicken hat. It was so fun, to see everyones personality's pop out during the game, wearing their certain hats.
Me, Nichole (YW President), Briggitta (YW 1st Counselor), and in the front Chantal (our Camp Director).
Our "SWEET" Young Women. From left to right, Brianna, Sara, Kim, Kelsie, Rachelle, Emmy, and in front, Krissy.
The whole gang of Reeses Pieces!!!! Back Row, L to R . Brigitta, Sara, Candy, Kim, Rachelle, Nichole, Me, Brianna. Front Row, L to R. Chantal, Krissy, Emmy, and Kelsie!!!

Our Day at the Zoo
My Grandpa, Papa Larry, took my sisters, my mom, and I and our kids to the zoo on Tuesday. We had 11 kids and it was fun but chaos. The kids loved the animals. Hannah's favorite was the giraffes and zebras. Makenna said all of the animals were her favorite. It was a fun, busy day, and I think everyone was ready to go home when we were done.
Here is Papa Larry with all the kids.

4th of July Fun!!
We have had a great 4th of July weekend!! Thursday night we went to a parade, we only lasted about an hour then we got too hot and decided that we had seen enough, so we walked over and got a snocone to cool us off. After that we headed home to do some fireworks with our friends, The Blackwells. Friday, we went over to a local carnival going on and let the kids ride on some of the rides. Then we went over to Matt's parents house for dinner and went swimming. (Well I didn't swim, because I have an inner and outer ear infection, fun for me, Yeah!!) When it got dark, we went over to a nearby open grass area and watched the cities fire works!! It was a great firework show. They did a ton of them and had a huge finale, which as Makenna kept putting it, "totally awesome." Hannah fell asleep on the blanket, she had a pretty long day. Here are our pictures of the carnival.

The Host
I really loved this book. I have heard a lot of people say that it takes time getting into, but I really enjoyed it from the beginning!! I am almost saying that I like it better than twilight. It had a little more adult feel to it for me. Not to say that I don't like the teenage books, cause I do, but I really enjoyed it and got really into it. It's funny, cause after reading twilight, I was comparing everything in life to that book, like vampires really existing and now I am totally thinking that some people have souls in their human bodies!! Anyway, it is a really good book and I would totally recommend it to anyone!!!

Swim Lessons!
Makenna has been in swim lessons for the past 2 weeks, and I have been too busy reading the Host to post about it, but I am done with the book and will post about that later. Here are some of Makenna's pics of swim lessons. She had a great time and is doing really well, she is actually swimming, with no help. She just jumps in the water and will swim, come up for a breath and do some more. I am so proud of her!!
